Everyone wants to have a voice and be heard, right!? But how we go about being heard might actually be hindering our effectiveness. The Bible gives us a model to follow which is so contrary to our natural inclinations and the culture. But here’s the important thing – it works! Join us in July for practical teaching that we can all use in becoming more like Christ in how we communicate with others.
Wednesdays, June 27, July 18, August 22, 7:15-9:00 PM, Patterson home. Do you desire to connect more deeply with Evergreen women outside of church or small group? Do you desire a summer study but can't commit to a weekly curriculum? Come relax with us in Nicki Patterson's living room. Our goal is connection. We will discuss a shared message in a more intimate way. We'll hear each other’s stories and bear each other’s burdens. We'll learn together and minister to each other. We'd love for you to join us for any or all of these evenings. Questions? Contact Nicki Patterson.
Sundays, June 24 & July 1, 11:30 AM, Great Room. Wondering what exactly Mission to Our City is? How our church will be serving? Come check out the Volunteer Fair in the Great Room right after the church service. We will have a full weekend schedule and an opportunity to ask questions and sign up for specific events. Questions? Contact Lorna Untiedt.
This summer all our locations will be doing a local mission trip, participating in evangelism training, and doing the same series in July called “Talk Less, Say More.” You will not only need the workbook to take notes at the trainings and weekend messages, but also to help you get spiritually ready for MTOC. Within the workbook, we have 40 days of preparation (starting June 15) including daily prayer points, a spot for daily journaling, and other topics to study. Please join us on this journey and pick up your workbooks at an upcoming service!
Mondays, June 18, July 16, August 20, and September 17, 6:00-9:00 PM, The Petersen House (7222 Riverdale Road, Brooklyn Center). If you are newly graduated from high school up through your twenties, we invite you to a special time of community at our home. Join us as we fellowship together and worship the King of Kings. Questions? Contact Marie Petersen, 763-537-5671.
For the first time in our 30-year history, all five of our church locations are hosting a local mission trip and online registration is officially open. As a part of Kingdom Builders, we will be out serving our community with acts of kindness and love, service projects, prayer, and sharing of the Gospel. This will be an incredible uniting time for our church. You’ve just got to be there! You can register HERE. Questions? Contact Pastor Mark Stiglicz, 612-749-1784..
Every Sunday, 8:30-9:30 AM, Room 102. Come seek God's face in a one-hour prayer meeting where we will worship God in His word, in song, and in prayer. Questions? Contact Kyle Davies.
Get out your smart phone and look up “Evergreen New Hope” in your app store. This will be the tool you need, as an Evergreen attender, to be up-to-date on all the news, events and happenings here.
Remember to turn notifications on. We’ll use those to give you critical messages like snow cancellations and other important reminders. Questions? Contact Kathy Grunditz at email@example.com.
Sunday, July 8, 5:00-9:00 PM, Evergreen-Bloomington, Auditorium. The first-century church sought God together through prayer and fasting as they faced difficult times and strived to embrace Jesus’ call to witness the Gospel to all people. Our church is also navigating a difficult time and we are on the eve of an all-location mission week to love our neighbors and share the hope of Christ. Please join us for an all-location gathering of worship, prayer, and fasting as we believe God to humble, equip, and embolden us. We will pray that God will break spiritual strongholds and advance His kingdom. If you cannot attend, please consider fasting all day on Sunday and joining us in spirit by praying.
This summer we will be doing a mission trip to our city and like any short-term mission trip there is training to be done to prepare for it. Please plan to attend if any of the following are true for you:
The method we will be training with is easy to lean and family friendly. After the training, we'll go out in teams and practice. Bring some snacks for the family to eat while you are out or bring money to pick up lunch. Not only will you leave being more confident in sharing your faith, but the Lord just might use you in someone else’s life. Questions? Contact Pastor Rob Busse.
